What can some of us humans actually (if occasionally) perceive) as opposed to what is generally presumed we certainly cannot perceive?

One tentative conclusion of mine is that some of us who get involved with magical activities do try to extend the range of some of our various perceptions. And that some do succed and report phenomena that scientific investigations later affirm to the rest. Like bodies emitting light.
