'It's the jihad, stupid'

I never thought that I would be linking to Michelle Malkin's blog, but she does have any interesting collection of freelance jihadist killers.

But she leaves out one: "Marc Lepine" was not as French-Canadian as his name would suggest. His jihad against decadent, immoral Canadian women engineering students was in 1989.

Hi Charles:
You're spot on - but why do so few folks on the "left", especially the pagan left, get it?
Be well,

Dave,

Honestly, I don't know if I'm on the "left" or the "right," secular or Pagan, these days.

But if you want a challenge, try getting your Canadian friends to realize even now, after the Toronto arrests, that they too are the jihadists' targets.

Most of them still think, "We're Canadians trying to create a just society. No one really could ever hate us."

Uh . . . no. As "Marc Lepine" showed 17 years ago.

We don't all have rose-coloured lenses. I didn't know about Lepine's family history until I read that article, but a lot of us do realize that we're targets. Besides our friendship with the U.S., we're also a very socially liberal country (one of the most, I suspect), and the theocratic extremists seem to hate that.
